This webinar will present differences and USDA NRCS planning considerations for using solar-powered watering systems for livestock grazing operations compared to typical electrical power sources for livestock water. One of these planning considerations is knowing when to choose solar power as the energy source for the watering system. Other planning considerations covered during this webinar include water delivery and engineering design concepts. Additionally, animal behavior and management adjustments that may need to be incorporated as a result of using this type of water delivery system will be discussed.
