Torr Darroch is an individual new-build property which was completed in the autumn of 2014. The house is finished to an extremely high standard with a superb range of contemporary fixtures and fittings. It sits in a mature woodland setting above the village, with grounds extending to approximately 1.2 acres. In the autumn and winter months there are wonderful views of the River Tay through the neighbouring woodland.
The front door leads into the entrance porch off which there are two storage cupboards. One houses the hot water boiler and the other stores the electrical systems. A door leads through to the boot room which has further doors leading out to the front of the house and into the integral triple garage.
A solid oak staircase leads up from the entrance hall to the ground floor above. At the top of the stairs is a fantastic open plan reception hall with solid oak flooring and a central staircase with glass sides up to the floor above. This could also be a dining area. It also opens through to the magnificent double height drawing room. From here there are fantastic views to the west and south over the garden and the neighbouring countryside. A log-burning stove is set within a hand-built decorative stone surround and mantle. This is part of the exposed Burntisland stone wall feature with large windows to either side. Situated off the reception hall is the office / sitting room. This has double doors leading out onto a balcony providing lovely views to the south and east. There are further windows to the west and a fitted Sony cinema projector system which can be made available subject to separate negotiation. Across the hall is the master bedroom suite. This has windows to the east and west, an en suite bathroom with marble flooring and tiling, twin wash hand basins, WC, bath and double-sized shower cubicle. The master bedroom also has a large walk-in wardrobe with fitted hanging rails and shelves. Also situated off the landing are two generous storage cupboards which also contain the hot water tanks.
The hand-built solid oak staircase leading up to the first floor above is an impressive feature within Torr Darroch as it splits at a halfway point before two separate stairs lead up to the floor above. At the top there is a galleried landing overlooking the drawing room below and with Velux windows to the east providing views. Off here there are three further en suite bedrooms. The largest has wonderful views to the front and rear of the house and in the winter months a superb outlook over the River Tay through the trees. The dormer windows provide an abundance of natural light and there is a separate en suite bathroom with WC, wash hand basin, bath and separate shower cubicle. Of the two further bedrooms, one faces east and the other west. One has an en suite shower room and the other an en suite bathroom with traditional-style overhanging shower.
